UAE petrol prices could see a slight decline for January 2025

Petrol prices in the UAE could see a slight reduction when prices are revised for January 2025 on Tuesday.

Brent oil averaged $73.06 per barrel in December 2024, up from $73.2 in November. However, if prices see large fluctuations during the last two trading days of the year, the price adjustment could be revised upwards.

Since the country deregulated local petrol prices in 2015, the UAE has revised petrol and diesel prices on the last day of each month to bring retail rates in line with international prices.

In December, the prices of Super 98, Special 95 and E-Plus were reduced by about Dh0.13 per liter to Dh2.61, Dh2.50 and Dh2.43 per liter, respectively. The December prices were the lowest this year.
