Reduction in petrol and diesel price in Pakistan from August 1, 2024

Taking a major step to reduce the burden on Pakistanis, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved a massive reduction in the prices of petroleum products, which has brought relief to consumers across the country.

The government of Pakistan on Wednesday night reduced the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 6.17 and Rs 10.86 respectively for the next fortnight. The new price of petrol is Rs 269.43 per liter and the new price of HSD is Rs 272.77 per litre.

The government has also provided relief to users of light diesel and kerosene. The price of light diesel reduced by Rs 5.72 to Rs 160.53 per liter while the price of kerosene will now be Rs 177.39 per liter after a reduction of Rs 5.72.

The reduction is effective immediately, replacing the earlier prices of Rs 275.60 for petrol, Rs 283.63 for high speed diesel, Rs 183.71 for kerosene, and Rs 166.25 for light diesel.
