Petrol price reduced, diesel likely to become more expensive

From January 1, 2025, the price of petrol in the country will be reduced by Rs 2, however, the price of high-speed diesel is likely to increase by more than Rs 3.

According to industry sources, the premium on petroleum is $8.69 per barrel. However, the price of petrol is likely to remain at Rs 250.20 per liter for the next 15 days.

While the price of diesel is likely to remain at Rs 259 per liter after an increase of Rs 3.62 per liter.

According to sources, the new price of light diesel oil (LDO) is Rs 3.30 per liter, while the price of kerosene is estimated to be Rs 151.97 per liter after an increase of Rs 3.03 per liter.
