Petrol and diesel prices announced for the next fortnight

The federal government on Friday announced the prices of petrol and diesel for the next four nights, maintaining the current prices across Pakistan until November 30.

According to the notification, the price of petrol remains at Rs 248.38 per liter. The price of high-speed diesel remains at Rs 255.14 per liter. The prices of light diesel and kerosene also remain unchanged.

Earlier, news had emerged that the federal government may increase petrol prices due to higher premiums on petroleum products in the global market and increased import costs.

Sources had indicated an increase in the price of petrol by Rs 2.58 per liter and the price of high-speed diesel by Rs 5.91 per liter.

The government was considering increasing the prices of petroleum products but decided against it.
