Finance Minister has indicated a reduction in the prices of fuel products

Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb says that the inflation has significantly reduced to the single digit level after which it is expected that the prices of fuel (petroleum products) will decrease.

Addressing the meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said that the good news regarding the loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will be received on September 25.

The finance minister said that the value of the Pakistani rupee is stable, with foreign exchange reserves at a 26-month high. The role of remittance strength is important in the stability of foreign exchange reserves.

Mohammad Aurangzeb said that Pakistan’s IT exports are stable at the level of 300 million dollars per month. This is good news for our export sector.

He said that the continuous and stable growth in Roshan Digital Accounts is welcome. In this regard, an investment of 165 million dollars has been made in the last month. Inflation has come down significantly to single digit range. Hopefully, oil prices will go down and the dollar will stabilize.

He added that the interest rate has already been reduced by 450 bps. Due to this, the current account situation will be better. The government on Wednesday rejected all bids for Treasury bills.
